India is a warehouse of adventure and natural beauties along with urban metros.
It’s impossible to squeeze the nature of India in 10 best places. But when we talk about places for adventure sports, here is a list to name a few.
10. Darjeeling
The hill town is located in northern part of west Bengal at an altitude of 7000ft. The Museum of Natural History is another tourist attraction in Darjeeling, has a fine collection of Himalayan animals, reptiles, birds and insects. Other few places, worth a visit are the, Bhutia Bustee Monastery, Dhirdam temple, Ava Art gallery and Aloobaari Monastery.
9. Gulmarg
In the great Himalayas you will see "the meadow of flowers". Gulmarg is a heavenly place where you will never forget the opportunity to walk a while. Kashmir valley will surely mesmerize you. You may explore the Nanga Parbat and the Haramukh.
8. Jim Corbett National Park

In the foothills of Himalayas, Jim Corbett National Park is the place for adventure sports such as jungle safaris, wildlife camps and jungle camps.The animals like Chital, Sambhar, and various other Deer species can be seen and the dense jungle be explored in the two-hour elephant safari. Jeep Safari is the most convenient mode of exploring the Corbett national park.
7. Manali
Wearing Chadar of snow Manali is the Himalayan town that draws a good number of tourists who can experience a number of Hindu temples, monasteries, passes, waterfalls, landscapes etc. Adventure sports like the skiing, trekking and hiking makes the tour unforgettable.
6. Ladakh
Zanskar, the most isolated of all the Trans Himalayan Valleys The Zanskar valley is situated across the Suru Valley and over the Pensi La in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. The Panzila Top (4401 m) is the picturesque tableland adorned with two small alpine lakes and surrounded by snow covered peaks. Trekking is possible to Panikhar or Rangdum over the Pentse La, into the Zanskar Valley from Lamayuru, Leh or Darcha, from Padum to the Markha valley
5. Dodital
Uttaranchal is famous for its crystal-clear lake, that mainly attracts tourists who enjoy trout fishing. It is also a paradise for those, who are really into trekking. It is situated at height of 3,024 meters and is famous for boating and bird watching at Dodital, which lies in the Uttarkashi district.
4. Leh
If you are finding a place which is is indeed a trekker's paradise then the place surely is in North India-Leh. Leh-Manali highway rewards spectacular and picturesque landscapes. You may try river rafting in the Zanskar River at Leh. And if you want to try native sport Polo, then try your skill here.
3. Rishikesh
The adventure destination of Rishikesh is located in the northern part of the state of Uttaranchal. The rapids and rivers of Rishikesh are excellent spots for the adventure lovers. Rishikesh also acts at a base for trekking camps.
2. Auli
In Uttaranchal Auli is the ideal place for skiing. One can ski on the clean stretches of 10-20 km of snow-covered mountain slopes. Since there are also woods on the slopes, they help reduce the wind velocity, making it better for the skiers. That exhilarating feeling is hard to describe and it is exactly what attracts tourists to Auli.

Wake up early in the morning to take Kayak lessons. Have your lunch at Rudraprayag. Here the rafters will be lured by the magnificent sight of the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi. This confluence sight is the origin of River Ganga. Hindu temple here will surely add to your spiritual experience and offer you ultimate peace of mind.

What about Dhudsager Falls?? India itself is one big adventure why pick out ten obvious touristy ones - it;s underselling the experience - I love the place!
I would like to reply to Jasnav that there are many more tourist destinations in Indian but these are the most famous places of North India. There are so many (more than 50) tourist destinations in different parts of India.
